Surface Cleaning

Degreasing & Surface Activation

Your products are cleaned from oil, dirt and foreign substances formed during the production process.

Using special chemical solutions, the surface is made completely ready for paint application.

Chemical Coating and Protection Processes

In our PLC-controlled, automation-supported surface preparation line, metal parts go through the following stages:

Degreasing
Rust removal
Acidic etching
Phosphating or chromating (according to material type)

Through these processes, the surface is given an active structure that allows paint to adhere better and high corrosion resistance is achieved.

Surface Preparation

Reliable Surface Preparation for Superior Performance

The success of electrostatic powder coating and wet painting processes largely depends on the quality of surface preparation processes performed before application. As Mesa Metal, we provide international standard surface preparation services to achieve painted surfaces with high adhesion strength, high corrosion resistance, long life and aesthetic quality.

Pre-Painting Processes: Why Are They Important?

A well-prepared surface:

  • Increases the durability of the paint layer
  • Provides superior resistance against external factors (impact, humidity, temperature difference, etc.)
  • Significantly reduces corrosion formation
  • Increases the overall quality and service life of the product

Corrosion Resistance: 1008-Hour Guarantee

Through salt spray tests conducted by independent laboratories, it has been scientifically reported that the coatings we apply before painting provide corrosion resistance up to 1008 hours.

Card 1
Tricationic Zinc Phosphating
Applied to iron, steel, aluminum, zamak, galvanized and cast products, this process, before electrostatic powder coating and wet painting:
  • Improves surface structure
  • Increases paint adhesion
  • Provides high corrosion resistance
Card 2
Cr+3 Green Chromating
With environmentally friendly Cr+3 content green chromating method:
  • Paint adheres much stronger to the surface
  • Protection against corrosion is provided
  • Aluminum, galvanized, copper and zamak surfaces are strengthened
Card 3
Cr+6 Yellow Chromating
For applications requiring high performance, Cr+6 based yellow chromating method:
  • Provides excellent paint adhesion to aluminum and zamak surfaces
  • Offers enhanced corrosion resistance
  • Provides electrical conductivity
